Khan Academy and Flipping the Classroom
This is a set of links to accompany my presentation at the Scicon conference 2012
- Archive of news links that include "Flipping the Classroom"
These range from mainstream media sources to Blogs and web based material that were collated from a Google news alert since April 27. Some good material to get a feel for all sides of the flipping the classroom idea. - Khan academy
Links to the start page of the site. The videos all share the no face, talk and draw style. - TED ED
A recent development form the popular TED Talks site. Good potential to enhance and augment any existing You tube video clips by developing them into a more complete teaching item. Also a selection of pre-made resources available in different subjects. - Crash Course Biology
Fast paced learning with an in your face hyper-narrator, Hank Green. Somehow refreshing after a diet of more serious presentations. - Bozeman Science
Very extensive set of video lessons from Montana's teacher of the year 2011. Style is similar to Khan academy with the face or is it a talking head of Paul Andersen.
